Emery Forney falls into a world where Fairies exist.
He died in
his old world, a happy man, surrounded by the wife and daughters he
loved. Now he has to figure out what to do, why he's here and why was he
changed into this form. This world isn't all about fluttering and just
playing around.
With squirrels that are big as trucks and Ogres
and Trolls that are even bigger, being small isn't easy. But it's not
all just about the other taller races here, not all Fairies are pretty,
delightful creatures.
There is an evil growing in the forest, and
there are spirits controlling his fate and pushing him to some unknown
destination, which he can only hope is good. The change in his body
would obviously bring changes to him, the change of his gender brings an
entirely different set. Not all the Fairy cities are progressive, some
are even less so than the world he left.
Accepting oneself,
mentally, physically and emotionally can be a harrowing journey enough.
He finds himself sweep along by fate through three Fairy cities, each
that brings its own type of problem to his new life. Some specific to
his new, curvier, self and others more systemic of their society. Added
to that, he is penniless and without family here.
Sometimes you
have to accept the world around you and sometimes you have to change it.
Sometimes it changes you. Sometimes you find new love despite
everything.
